The University of Bath has been named among the world’s best universities for graduate prospects, placing within the Top 100 of the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022.

Placing 93rd in the ranking marks out Bath as one of the best places to study globally in terms of students’ onward prospects.

The rankings compare the employability outcomes of higher education institutions across the world by considering a range of measures, including reputation among employers, alumni outcomes, partnerships with employers and how attractive recent graduates are to businesses.

The University of Bath was rated particularly strongly in terms of its partnerships and its reputation among employers, with a graduate employment rate of 95.6% 12 months after graduation.

Professor Ian White, Vice-Chancellor and President, said: “That the University of Bath has been recognised in the top 100 globally for graduate employability is a superb achievement. The ranking is testament to the hard work that goes on across the university, from working with employers and setting up and nurturing partnerships, to ensuring our courses and teaching are relevant and responsive to the changing career landscape. This is also a recognition of the incredible work of our students, who continually impress me with their hard work and motivation to succeed in their careers.”

This year 786 institutions were included in the evaluation, with a total of 75,000 employers surveyed. Data was drawn from a range of sources including evaluation of 310,000 work placement partnerships.

The ranking is carried out by global higher education analysts QS Quacquarelli Symonds. QS also publishes the World University Rankings, which in June 2021 named Bath the world’s 166th best university overall.

The University of Bath is ranked highly by the UK’s three major national rankings, placing within the top 10 of each of The Guardian University Guide, The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide and the Complete University Guide. Our students continue to be among the most satisfied in the UK with an overall satisfaction rate of 86.06%, according to the 2021 National Student Survey.
