The University is pleased to announce that Calum Mercer has been appointed as Treasurer, following approval of the appointment by Council.

As Treasurer, Calum will act as one of three senior non-executive members of the University Council. He will chair the Finance Committee and maintain an overview of the University finances.

Calum has extensive experience in both executive and non-executive roles in major organisations in a diverse range of sectors including health and social care, housing, education, infrastructure and utilities. He is currently Finance and Operations Director at the Royal College of Psychiatrists, a non-executive board member and chair of audit and risk committees at the Legal Aid Agency and Solent NHS Trust, and a non-executive board member at the Housing and Finance Institute. Previous non-executive roles have included Dimensions, the largest not-for-profit organisation supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, Manchester Metropolitan University, and Grainger Trust, a for-profit provider of affordable housing.
