As part of our drive to encourage students and staff to participate in democratic processes, the University has invited candidates / representatives from any political party contesting the Local Election on 2 May to canvass on campus on Thursday 11 April 2019 between 11am - 3pm.
The candidates / representatives have been invited to attend, to bring literature and will be available to answer questions from students and staff on the Parade outside the Library. (Canvassing will not be permitted anywhere else on campus or at any other time.)
The University hopes that the event will provide the opportunity for staff and students who are registered to vote to become better informed about the aims of each candidate / party.
