All student poster or infographic entries that are received by the original deadline of Thursday 19 March 2020 at midday will still be considered for a future run of the competition, provided you are still a registered student at the University of Bath in either Science or Engineering and Design.

The Celebrating STEM Diversity Poster Competition aims to highlight the contribution of scientists and engineers from underrepresented groups, such as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, women or people with disabilities.

All undergraduate and postgraduate science and engineering students are being invited to submit a poster or infographic based on a scientist or engineer from an underrepresented group. It could be someone they've been inspired by or who has made an important contribution through their work.

It is hoped the competition will help to build upon Bath's inclusive culture and integrated community of staff and students.

As well as being displayed across campus, shortlisted entries will be showcased at a Celebrating STEM diversity event on Thursday 26 March. All staff and students are invited to attend this showcase and vote for the winning entries.

Up to £100 in vouchers will be given as prizes which will be presented by Bath honorary graduate Professor Dawn Bonfield.

Register for the showcase event and help us choose our winners on 26 March.

The competition is run jointly by the Faculties of Science and Engineering & Design, in association with the Centre for Learning & Teaching and the Students' Union.
