If you are graduating in the summer of 2023, access to your computer accounts will cease from 31 August 2023 (unless otherwise notified, or if you are impacted by the marking and assessment boycott).

What this means for you:

  • When your record in the student database is removed, you will receive an email stating exactly when your account will be closed (which will be at least 30 days from the date of the email).

  • You should ensure you take copies of any documents, emails, address books or other data that you may require before your account is closed, as recovery may not be possible afterwards.

  • You should ensure you have registered an alternate email address with any web sites that you may have signed up to with your University email address before your account is closed. For example, social media accounts etc.

Alumni email account

All final year students are entitled to a BathMail account (@bath.edu email address). Powered by Google, this account makes the perfect post-Bath email address. You will receive your BathMail account in July 2023. Please note, no emails or information from your University account will be transferred. Find out more about the BathMail service, or email the Alumni Relations Team at alumni@bath.ac.uk.

Advice for students starting another course

If you are completing your current course of study this summer but will be starting another course at the University of Bath in the autumn (including students completing a two-year Foundation Degree and going on to do the top-up year) you will need to take action to keep your account active. Please email account-closure@bath.ac.uk giving details of the course you will be starting. If you experience issues with your account during the transition between courses, please email account-closure@bath.ac.uk for assistance.
