Three vacancies

The Statutes of the University provide for three members of staff who are not academic staff to serve on the Court of the University. There is a vacancy for a member of staff from each of the following job families:

  • management, specialist and administration
  • technical and experimental
  • operational and facilities support

Members of academic staff are represented on Court separately.

About Court

Court is the formal body representing the interests of the University’s constituencies. It has around 200 members, including representatives of:

  • local authorities
  • the professions
  • religious organisations
  • schools

Court also has members who are:

  • MPs
  • members of the University Council
  • University Officers
  • elected staff and student representatives

Court provides a forum where members can raise any matters relating to the University. The next meeting of Court will take place on 24 September 2019 at 2.15pm.

How to nominate

You can submit a nomination form in either handwritten or electronic format. It must be signed by a proposer and seconder who are not academic members of staff. It must also be signed by the candidate, declaring their willingness to serve if elected.

Send completed nomination forms to Angela Pater by 12pm (midday) on Monday 19 August 2019.
