Elizabeth Holton, PhD student from the Department of Chemistry, has been awarded 'Best Poster' by the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) Europe Awards programme. Her winning poster was titled, "Monitoring of antibiotics, pollutants, and AMR in formal and informal settlements: back-calculation of antibiotic usage in the absence of prescription data."

The SETAC Europe Awards programme recognises and honours outstanding contributions of individuals or groups of individuals to the environmental sciences and to the Society. Elizabeth's poster was assessed alongside other submissions by the SETAC Europe Awards Committee, and was ratified by the SETAC Europe Council.

Elizabeth's award was announced and celebrated alongside other award winners during SETAC SciCon: SETAC Europe 30th Annual Meeting, which was held virtually from 3–7 May 2020.
