Avon Fire and Rescue Service have been in attendance, and you may have seen firefighters and several fire engines in the area.
As part of our business continuity arrangements, we conduct practice drills and exercises. We also work with partners to facilitate the testing of plans, and to support training and preparedness.
However, it is important never to assume that an alarm is an exercise.
If you hear a fire alarm, please always follow our procedures by evacuating the building by the nearest available exit and then reporting to the designated fire assembly point for that building.
All staff should complete our mandatory Fire Safety Awareness training; please do so now if you haven't completed this yet.
