The University is pleased to announce the appointment of Gordon Cox as Director of Development & Alumni Relations (DDAR).

Gordon joins Bath from University College, Oxford, where he is currently Director of Development and a Fellow. He has considerable experience of the Higher Education sector, having previously held development roles at the University of Oxford, University of Edinburgh and Durham University.

Professor Ian White, the University of Bath’s Vice-Chancellor, said:

“I am delighted to welcome Gordon to the University of Bath to lead our development and alumni relations department. He has a wide range of experience across the development and alumni relations fields.”

“The recruitment panel was impressed with Gordon’s commitment to deepening engagement with our alumni community, and his innovative ideas, expertise and approach to development. He takes up this important role at an exciting time for our University, having recently published its new strategy.

“I would like to thank Acting Co-Directors Emma Haines and Molly Southwood and the whole DDAR team for their hard work and dedication over the last 18 months; it has been greatly appreciated.”

Gordon is due to take up the appointment in January 2022.
