In this year’s extraordinary International Research Accelerator Scheme funding call, a total of six awards were made:
- Dr Dario Cazzola (Health) will host a 3 day Cervical Spine Research Framework (CeSReF) workshop at University of Bath with collaborators from Nanyang Technological University, University of Pennsylvania and Consultant Rheumatologists from the Bath Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases (RNHRD) to develop a framework to investigate spinal injury and degeneration
- Dr Juan Pablo Ferrero (PoLIS) will conduct research and host workshops with collaborators from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) and University of Buenos Aires to develop a conceptual framework in order to understand the political dynamics in the context of the post-transition Latin America
- Professor Simone Fullagar (Health) will host a knowledge exchange colloquium in March 2017 with several Bath ECRs and collaborators from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)(Porto Alegre) and Faculdade de Tecnologia de São Paulo
- Dr Maria Loades (Psychology) will develop the SUUB Psychology Group to further collaborative psychology research between Stellenbosch University and Bath
- Professor Paul Milewski (Mathematical Science) will develop the Bath-Brazil Mathematical Sciences Partnership with collaborators from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) and Instituto Nacional de Matematica Pura e Aplicada (IMPA)
- Dr Gavin Shaddick (Mathematical Science) will expand the already successful BUC (Bath-UNAM-CIMAT) research collaboration with colleagues from UNAM and CIMAT
