The International Relations Office has announced the successful awards in the 2020 Bath International Funding Schemes – an annual call which provides seed-funding for collaborative activities with University of Bath’s international partners in research, teaching and professional services.

A total of 38 projects have received funding this year. These have been awarded to build international institutional networks in Europe and North America, as well as with Bath partner institutions globally.

IPR Research Associate, Dr Aida Garcia Lazaro, has been awarded funding to work on a research project with University of Bath’s partner institution, UNAM (Mexico).

She will work in collaboration with the Director of the Economics Research Institute (IIEc), Professor Armando Sanchez Vargas, to analyse developed and developing economies and determine whether technological change is shrinking households’ income share; and provide empirical evidence in the context of globalisation, workers’ rights and industrial structure.

The project will also contribute to the University’s ongoing international partnership with UNAM, and help develop a long-term academic relationship with the IPR.
