The new Mayor of BANES Councillor Patrick Anketell-Jones visited the School of Management to learn more about the School and, given the environment is his theme for the year, hear about our research on the topic.

Professor Veronica Hope Hailey, Dean of the School of Management & Vice President of Corporate Engagement, and Professor Brian Squire, Deputy Dean, greeted the Mayor and welcomed him with a series of short presentations.

Professor Hope Hailey, Dr Johanne Ward-Grosvold, Dr Sarah Glozer and Professor Jonathan Knight, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research) spoke about Research for Good and environmental research at the School and across the University.

There was then a chance for students and staff from the School to meet the Mayor over a buffet lunch to introduce him to their areas of specialism, from International Management to the Send a Cow project.

Professor Hope Hailey said: “It was exciting to welcome the Mayor onto campus so soon into his tenure and an excellent opportunity to highlight what we’re doing now and preview what the new building will help us to achieve.”
