Cancer Research at Bath (CR@B) has a new chair – Dr Ute Jungwirth from the Department of Pharmacy & Pharmacology. Dr Jungwirth brings over 15 years of cancer research experience to the role. She hopes to promote collaborative and interdisciplinary cancer research and training, by boosting CR@B’s partnership work with the NHS Royal United Hospital Trust (RUH).

A relaunch of CR@B’s networking events is planned for September, to coincide with World Cancer Research Day (September 24). This will take the shape of an in-person event (date to be confirmed) and will give participants the chance to discuss the latest cancer research across the University and RUH. As part of the event, the six recipients of the CR@B COVID mitigation awards will present their work.

Cancer Research at Bath (CR@B) is a network and forum that aims to facilitate interaction between academics, clinicians, students and others with an interest in cancer. It promotes opportunities for collaborative interdisciplinary research and training, and is a platform to promote awareness of cancer research, expertise and facilities across the Bath region.
