The University of Bath signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Monday 11th March with the Turkish Embassy Education Counsellor’s Office in London. Driven by the PGT Recruitment Team, this agreement provides greater opportunities for Turkish students to come to the University to study at postgraduate level.

As the oldest sponsorship scheme in Turkey, the sponsor covers the full cost of tuition, along with providing a monthly stipend and other additional costs. Students can receive sponsorship to study at both PGT and PhD level, with no restrictions on subject area. James O’Grady, who manages postgraduate student recruitment for Turkey, stated that:

We are delighted to have agreed terms with the Ministry. Turkey is an important and growing market for the university across all faculties and levels. Arrangements such as this allow us to further our growth in the market, whilst also ensuring we attract the very highest calibre of student to Bath.
