To help shape our Civic University Agreement work, we’re inviting you to tell us more about the contributions you already make to your local communities whether this is part of your role at the University or in a personal capacity.

One of the findings from the ‘Our University, Our Future' consultation exercise was a clear desire from our community for the University to strengthen its contribution locally and regionally. The new University strategy highlights the importance of developing the University’s civic role.

Today we are launching a survey to better understand the scope and breadth of activity already taking place locally and to inform future plans on how best to support staff in these endeavours in the context of the new University strategy.

We know that many colleagues spend time contributing to local organisations and would like to understand a little more about what you are doing, what you would like to do and how the University might support you in the future.

If you’d be happy to share your own experiences and ideas, please complete this short survey (it will take about 15 minutes, with an open question for more general comments).

The results will be shared through the Community Engagement blog and will inform work to develop initiatives that support the University’s planned Civic University Agreement.
