Dear colleagues,
I would like to thank everyone involved in the successful Open Days on Friday and Saturday for their hard work, commitment and support of the University.
Both days were very busy with over 16,000 visitors in total and it was wonderful to experience once again the real buzz these events bring to campus.
The atmosphere was lively and engaging and I heard many positive comments from prospective students and their families.
Whether you were setting up the campus in the early hours, giving a talk, leading a tour, staffing a stand in the Information Fair or welcoming and helping visitors to campus, I would like to thank you for all you have done. Your help and support is much appreciated.
A great deal of work is involved in ensuring these events run smoothly and I must pay particular tribute to colleagues in estates, hospitality and security, the events team and our many student ambassadors - it really is a team effort.
