The University has a Public Interest Disclosure policy in place to support our culture of openness, transparency, accountability and risk awareness. This policy and the associated online form is available for anybody in the University community to report concerns, such as environmental issues or health and safety issues, in a secure and confidential way.

The University updated its policy in 2021, having sought advice about best practice, to make it as accessible and easy to use as possible. It is important for any organisation, including universities, to have strong mechanisms in place so any concerns about potential wrongdoing can be identified, and addressed. The University is committed to taking concerns raised seriously and will protect those making disclosures.

In the video below, Head of Strategic Governance, Emily Commander explains the policy in more detail.
