The Learning Partnerships Office welcomed the University of Bath International Foundation Year (IFY) students to campus for the third of a series of bespoke events which take place throughout the academic year.

Each year, the University of Bath International Foundation Year (taught at Bath College) brings together a diverse group of students from around the world, with 26 countries represented in the 2021/2022 cohort.

This latest campus visit, on 21 March, coincided with the Spring Equinox/New Year which is celebrated by millions of people across Central Asia and the Middle East. Some of the students were celebrating the Kurdish and Persian New Year and to mark this occasion IFY student Ahmad arrived in his traditional Kurdish clothes.

Commenting on the event Dr. Florin Bisset, Deputy Director and Head of Learning Partnerships Office said, “We were so pleased to welcome our IFY students onto the campus again. During this visit, they had the opportunity to sample university lectures as well as interactive sessions delivered by our colleagues from the Academic Skills Centre and the Library. This ongoing relationship with the University really helps the IFY students get excited about coming to Bath in the next academic year.”
