We are pleased to announce that the University of Bath has joined The Foundation for Science and Technology (FST).

The FST is a UK charity, bringing together Parliamentarians, civil servants, industrialists, researchers, learned societies, charities, and others, to explore and debate policy issues that have a science, research, technology, or innovation element.

Established in 1977, the FST runs events, publications, and the Foundation Future Leaders Programme; and provides guidance on governance issues to professional and learned societies.

Led by the University of Bath Institute for Policy Research (IPR), through this membership we hope to provide expertise to inform policy debates at the intersection of science, technology, and the public good; and support the next generation of policy professionals from universities, industry, and the civil service.

On joining the FST, point of contact for the membership, and IPR Head of Policy Programmes and Communications, Amy Thompson, adds:

"We are delighted to have joined the Foundation for Science and Technology. This membership will provide new opportunities for colleagues across the University to engage with Parliamentarians, civil servants, industrialists, researchers, learned societies and charities."

"Through the Foundation’s events, publications, and policy engagement programmes, we will be able to enhance our research and networking capabilities. I look forward to sharing these opportunities with colleagues.

For any queries relating to our partnership with the FST, please e-mail Amy Thomson.
