More than 3,000 students will graduate from the University this week, along with some famous faces who will receive Honorary Degrees, at the summer award ceremonies taking place in the City.
From Tuesday to Friday, University of Bath undergraduate and masters degree students, as well as PhDs, will mark the end of their studies at the celebratory event, taking place this year – for the first time ever – at the Theatre Royal, Bath while the City’s Abbey undergoes renovations.
Among the famous faces to receive Honorary Degrees from the University, will be Olympic champion, Heather Stanning (Tuesday), TV’s supervet Noel Fitzpatrick, comedian and musician Bill Bailey (Wednesday), and former Spurs and Bristol Rovers’ favourite and diabetes campaigner, Gary Mabbutt (Thursday).

The University Chancellor, HRH The Earl of Wessex will be in attendance for some of the ceremonies on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Commenting ahead of the graduation ceremonies, the University’s President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dame Glynis Breakwell, said: “The summer graduation ceremonies are a time for us all to celebrate the successes of our students and recognise the diverse talents, contributions and achievements of our Honorary Graduates.
“Congratulations to everyone who is receiving an award this week.”
