What is GSView
GSView is a graphical interface for Ghostscript software. It allows selected pages to be viewed and printed, or converted to bitmap, PostScript or PDF formats.
What is Ghostscript
Ghostscript is a suite of software programs that can interpret the Postscript language and portable document format (PDF).
Removal of GSView
GSView is no longer supported by the vendor and as a result can no longer be maintained on University Managed Devices. Therefore:
- It will be removed from the University Software Center on Wednesday 16 November.
- It will be uninstalled on University Managed Devices on Wednesday 23 November.
Upgrade of Ghostscript
Ghostscript 9.05 will be replaced with the latest version.
- 10.0 will be made available in Software Center on Wednesday 16 November.
- Ghostscript 9.05 will be updated to Ghostscript 10.0 on University Managed Devices on Wednesday 23 November.
