Upgrade to Microsoft Edge Chromium

Microsoft Edge Chromium will replace Edge legacy on campus PCs.

Microsoft support for Edge Legacy will end on Tuesday 9 March. From Thursday 4 March Edge Legacy will automatically upgrade to Microsoft Edge Chromium.

You can download and install Microsoft Edge Chromium on all University managed campus desktop PCs and University-managed laptops via the Software Centre. It will also be available from UniDesk/AdminDesk.

Special requirements

Users to be aware that if they have special requirements for using the new browser they will need to raise an IT support ticket for special case use to be approved by the IT security team.
