At Bath we are committed to the highest standards in research ethics and academic integrity. To manage research ethics associated with projects with a high potential to do harm four new research sub-committees of the Academic Ethics and Integrity Committee (AEIC) will be established to consider research applications with a focus on:

  • data & digital science
  • biomedical sciences
  • social sciences, &
  • externally reviewed (research requiring partner review and sponsorship from the University).

These new sub-committees will be multidisciplinary and will operate University-wide. Chairs of the new sub-committees will also be members of the new AEIC.

We value, promote and celebrate inclusion, and truly believe that diversity of experience, perspectives, and backgrounds will lead to a better environment for our whole community. All appointments will be made on merit of skill and experience relative to the role.
