On Monday 27 January we are launching the latest version of Microsoft Office 365 - ProPlus) to Windows desktop computers. It is also available for installation on University-managed Mac computers through 'Self Service'. Office 365 ProPlus includes the Office applications you're familiar with, such as Word and Excel but now also includes Teams.
Intelligent new features
Some of the new features available through Office 365 ProPlus:
- Always up to date applications to ensure you’re always working with the latest version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Animated 3D Graphics within Word and PowerPoint which lets you embed animated 3D graphics into your work
- Ideas in Excel analyses your data and returns interesting visual summaries, trends and patterns
- PowerPoint Designer automatically generates professionally designed slide layouts that match your content
- PowerPoint QuickStarter builds an outline presentation template to help you get started with your research
- Researcher in Word helps you find and cite reliable sources for your research paper
What you need to do
You can either:
- Install ProPlus yourself now
- Wait for it to be installed automatically on Monday 27 January
If you haven’t installed ProPlus by Monday 27 January, you will be prompted to close your Office applications within 30 minutes before the install will begin automatically. It is important to close all Office applications to avoid loss of work.
