In Year 4 of the course you’ll have the option to either undertake an extensive research project in the department or apply to go on a 12-week placement with an international partner organisation.

We have placement opportunities available in Australia, Brazil, Europe, New Zealand, and the US. With up to 30 placements available each year, there are many opportunities to live and work abroad as part of the course. Our pharmacy course is designed to give the future pharmacy workforce a strong understanding of the safe and effective use of medicines.

You'll learn how to manage and optimise patient’s medication in our pharmacy practice suite and there are a range of clinical teaching facilities, including consulting rooms where you can take part in role-playing encounters with patients or professional actors. You can also work with our SimMan 3G, a life-like robotic patient programmed to have a range of simulated medical conditions.

You'll spend time out on placement in each year of the course in a variety of settings, applying your knowledge to real patients and healthcare teams.
