Doctoral Research Showcase, 2019

This year's research showcase has been cancelled.

Event update

This year's showcase has been cancelled.

Due to lower than required exhibitor submissions, we have taken the decision to cancel this year's Doctoral Research Showcase. This means that the following elements will not be taking place:

  • Bake Your Doctorate
  • poster exhibition
  • demonstrations
  • interactive displays

We would like to thank all of you who submitted an entry to the showcase - we really enjoyed reading about the research projects you are working on. If you were considering taking part in the showcase but hadn't registered, we would still like to hear about your research projects. You can either email us at doctoralengagement@bath.ac.uk or tweet us @DoctoralBath.

Three Minute Thesis

Fancy presenting your research in just 3 minutes? Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) will still be taking place and is due to hold its semi-finals on 10 April 2019.

Jemma Rowlandson, previous 3MT Winner

Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is an academic research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia. It challenges students to present what would normally be up to 80,000 word thesis in just three minutes. Last year, Kay Fountain from the Department of Biology and Biochemistry was crowned winner. We'll be welcoming students to battle it out for a place at the final in June.
