The Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Aerosol Science brings together leading academic teams across a range of schools and faculties at 7 UK universities with industrial and public-sector partners in the areas of healthcare, material science, energy and transport, environment, consumer products and agrochemicals.
At a time when Aerosol Science has never been so crucial, we work to equip the next generation of Aerosol Scientists with the skills needed to tackle the numerous multidisciplinary challenges that fall at boundaries between the physical, engineering and health sciences.
The CDT offers a structured training programme in the first year followed by a research project providing the opportunity to combine the very latest techniques with new approaches.
Candidates should have an undergraduate background in any of the following areas: chemistry, physics, biological sciences, life and medical sciences, mathematics and computer science, chemical and mechanical engineering, pharmaceutical and environmental sciences. Depending on the subject area, applicants must hold/achieve a minimum of an upper second-class MSc or BSc honours degree, or equivalent.
