Why did you choose the University of Bath for your postgraduate studies?

I came to the University of Bath on the recommendation of friends who are Bath alumni, to expand my knowledge of economics after studying a management degree in Madrid and working for two years with Deloitte.

What have you enjoyed most about the MSc Economics course?

Learning to use the econometrics packages has been the most useful aspect of the course, and of real value to finding future employment. The course content is extremely current with a strong mathematical approach, reinforcing our quantitative skills; the pre-sessional maths course was invaluable in helping me understand the level of maths being taught.

The lecturers are very approachable and willing to help with any doubts or issues regarding the work being covered. As a result of the course, combined with my previous work experience, I would like my future career to involve econometrics projects with a strong quantitative and analytical focus.

What advice would you give anyone thinking about studying a master's at Bath?

I’d recommend Bath to anyone considering a master's in economics. It’s a good university, comfortable campus and lovely city – the perfect environment to focus on your studies while enjoying social and sporting activities.
