Development programmes and courses for staff

A summary of the learning and development support available to staff through the Workforce Development team and links to other internal services.

Factsheet

People management curriculum

The people management curriculum offers a coherent focus in delivering on the Workforce Strategy 'to develop a talented workforce fit for the future'. It applies to anyone who manages people, teams or delivery, from any job family and at any level.

The curriculum offers a modular, blended learning approach. It utilises face to face delivery, digital learning, curated resources, facilitated peer learning and signposting to one to one support (such as coaching and mentoring) to provide a bite-sized learning and training which can be tailored to individual needs.

Our online courses use blended learning to make the most of your time, focusing the live sessions on interaction, knowledge sharing and practice, and ensuring you have plenty of opportunities to embed learning on the job.

Please note, you will need to complete all accompanying work and come to the session prepared and ready to engage with your colleagues.

It's an opportunity to meet, share, support and learn together with attendees from five universities across the Southwest (Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, and the University of West England).
