Natural Scientists: Welcome from your Lead Peer Mentors

A welcome from your Lead Peer Mentors.

Letter

Firstly, we want to say congratulations for securing your place at one of the top UK universities in the World Heritage city of Bath.

As a new undergraduate student you probably have questions about starting university – and this is where our peer mentoring scheme can really help. The peer mentoring scheme enables you to ask a more experienced student rather than a staff member. We are a group of friendly and enthusiastic second year Natural Scientists that are on hand to help you settle in and make the most of your university experience. We’re here to give you information and tips about your course, sports, societies, budgeting, and university life and just about anything else you can think of.

As Natural Sciences is a broad course and you get a lot of choice, we are assigned to you based on subject matches to ensure we can answer any more specific questions you may have, so ask away!

You will meet us at our event on Tuesday afternoon at 3:15pm in Welcome Week (in the Science marquee behind 8W). There will be plenty of time to ask questions and chat. Come and get some delicious food and play games to help you get to know each other and your mentors.

Enjoy the rest of your summer and we look forward to meeting you.

Ben Redden and Alex Morrice
