The University for Swindon and Wiltshire Project (USWP) was formed in 1997 to promote higher education and develop a university presence in the region. In partnership with local authorities, businesses, schools and colleges, and with a corporate membership of nearly 150, the USWP worked collaboratively with the University of Bath to establish a campus site in Swindon.

The collection contains minutes of meetings, papers, correspondence, reports, newsletters, and photographs relating to the setting up, operation, activities and management of the USWP.

The collection was donated to the University of Bath in 2001 by Dr Malcolm Frazer, Chief Executive of the University for Swindon and Wiltshire Project.
