Dear students,

I would like to warmly welcome you all to the Department of Computer Science at the University of Bath!

Your first weeks at the University are very important academically and socially. The Department's Welcome Week is planned to allow you to engage with both of these essential aspects of your university experience.

During this week you will be given the opportunity to:

• meet other students that are starting this journey with you, as well as returning students who will welcome you to our Department's nationally recognised student community
• get to know key academic and administrative members of staff in the Department
• learn more about learning and teaching in our Department and your programme in general
• familiarise yourself with the different types of support available during your studies with us

There will be assorted activities and talks detailed on your Welcome Week timetable and it is really important that you participate actively. Teaching then starts on Monday the 2nd of October.

We understand that beginning University is a major step in your life. We are here to help and support you, so please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any difficulties and we will do our best to resolve them.
