Wi-Fi security certificates for eduroam

If you connect to the eduroam Wi-Fi network, you must accept the server certificate to ensure your connection is secure.

These are the details you should look for when you are asked to accept a certificate for your eduroam Wi-Fi connection:

  • The certificate should be from the Radius Server 'radius.bath.ac.uk'
  • The 'Root Certificate Authority' or 'Root CA' is 'QuoVadis Limited'

Although you may be able to connect to the eduroam wireless network without validating the server certificate, your connection will not be secure. You must ensure you validate/verify/accept the server certificate on your device.
