Designing your Moodle spaces for effective learning

In this interactive online workshop we will look at, and discuss, some examples of effective Moodle spaces. We will look at using a template and the CASE framework (Consistency, Accessibility, Scaffolding, Engagement) to understand how to populate your Moodle space using best practice. This will include: 

  • Consistency: how to effectively use the Bath Blend Templates so students can find key information. 
  • Accessibility: using the Accessibility+ toolkit to automatically find and fix issues. 
  • Scaffolding: Best practice for presenting key information and how to effectively utilise Topic Summaries, Text and Media Areas and Pages.  
  • Engagement: how to promote student engagement through Forums and Board activities. 

Session length: 

45 minutes + time for Q&A
