Introduction to Generative AI using Microsoft Copilot for Bing

2 May 2024 (1300-1345)

Microsoft Copilot for Bing is described as ‘Your everyday AI companion’. This short, in person workshop is suitable for any member of staff who would like to get started with using Copilot for Bing.  No previous experience of using Generative AI is required.

Main objectives:

  • Use Copilot to answer simple questions and requests
  • Use Copilot to create images
  • Use Copilot to analyse the information in uploaded files (E.g. A spreadsheet / assessment rubric)

Session length: 

45 minutes (including time for questions)

Format:

In person. This session will be delivered by a member of the TEL Team.

A record of attendance will be uploaded to iTrent for staff development purposes. Please indicate in the ‘Specific Requirements’ box when booking if you do NOT wish for your attendance to be uploaded to iTrent.

Do I need to bring my own device to use?

No.  This session takes place in an IT classroom.  You are welcome to bring your own device if you prefer.
