This event in the Difficult Conversations series has been organised to accompany the publication of the #ThinklistNext21.

A conversation with doctoral students, for doctoral students; it will look at the role, experiences, and strategies of doctoral researchers on social media in the field of responsible business. We will explore whether it is a help or hindrance, whether it's a tool for procrastination or way to connect with key people in the field. We'll find out what doctoral researchers talk about and why, and what effects social media has on their professional role and identity. During the first half our panel of #ThinklistNext21 members will share their experiences, and the second half will consist of breakout rooms where members of the audiences can discuss key issues affecting doctoral researchers.

The #thinklist was designed to highlight scholars active in social media on issues of responsible business. It was created in recognition of the value of discussions we have online, and in the hope of sharing insights with a wider community.

The #ThinklistNext21 focuses on doctoral researchers. As the next generation of thinkers, they will advance understanding and move the dial on issues of responsible business. However, they are often overlooked and unacknowledged. With this list we hope to recognise the contribution of doctoral researchers and help get their voices heard.
