There is widespread recognition of the importance of ensuring that health services research makes a difference to the care of patients and delivery of services. This is expected by research funders and by wider society. This year’s conference will promote discussion and debate as to how researchers can ensure they achieve such impact.

Following the success of the online conference in 2021 and in response to delegates’ feedback, we will also hold the 2022 conference online. This will ensure the event is accessible to delegates of all career stages, sectors and from around the world. As well as providing online talks, discussions and posters, the conference will also provide online networking opportunities. The organisation of the conference will be supported by Northern Networking Events to ensure a high quality experience for all delegates and speakers.

Discounted registration

A discount is available for early bird registration before 18 February 2022.

We want to encourage students, people who are unwaged and researchers from least developed or low to middle income countries to attend HSRPP 2022. An additional discount is therefore available for these groups. A list of eligible least developed or low to middle income countries is available via this link.

Day Lewis Scholarship Scheme

Thanks to generous sponsorship by Day Lewis, we are offering two types of scholarship that provide a reduced registration fee of only £30 (GBP):

• Student scholarships are available to 20 current undergraduate, Masters and PhD students who are the presenting author of an accepted abstract. All submitted abstracts will be scored by the HSRPP committee following the abstract judging criteria. We will contact the 20 student authors whose work scored most highly and offer them a Day Lewis Scholarship. Therefore, students who have submitted an abstract should not register to attend HSRPP until after 12 January 2022.

• Scholarships for delegates who work in a least developed or low to middle income country are available to the first ten eligible people who contact us. To apply, please email hsrpp2022@bath.ac.uk with your name, institution and country. Please do not register until you have had a reply from us. A list of eligible least developed or low to middle income countries is available via this link.

All Day Lewis Scholars must register by 18 February to receive their reduced registration fee.
