This session aims to demystify preprints and will cover the reasons for publishing a preprint (both advantages and issues), where to find and publish preprints and areas to consider for example: journal policies, plagiarism, REF requirements and future directions.


By the end of the session you will:

  • learn about what a preprint is
  • discover reasons for publishing a preprint
  • learn where to find and publish preprints and what different preprint servers offer
  • discover issues that may arise.
