Faith and spirituality

We have a Chaplaincy at the University which is a space in the centre of campus for people of all faiths and no faith. It is open to all students and staff to offer counsel, advice or just a listening ear.

There are also a number of faith based student groups at the university. Each group is run differently but offer the opportunity to meet, discuss and socialise.

The University also has a prayer room with washing facilities for Muslim prayers. Based in Norwood building, the code for entry can be obtained from the Library reception desk which is open 24/7.

Sexuality

The University has a thriving LGBT+ diversity and support group who offer support, campaigning, socials and other opportunities. They are free to join and are open to all whether you are certain and open or questioning. Stonewall is one of the leading charities in the UK and have a range of support and guidance on their website, they are also one of the leading campaigners on LGBT+ issues.

Culture

The University is a diversity community made up of students and staff from across the globe. This is reflected in our cultural groups within the Students’ Union. There is also an International Students Association who represent the view of our international students and provide friendship and support.
