Our work in this area

We hosted the Political Economy: Theory meets Empirics workshop in 2016, organised by Maik Schneider

The Department also held the 2nd Annual Workshop of the Political Economy UK Group in 2018, organised by Maik Schneider and Javier Rivas

The work of Ajit Mishra and Kei Tsutsui on corruption in economic systems with poor governance was funded by the British Academy's research grant, A Bribery Experiment with Unstructured Bargaining

Publications

Our research findings have been accepted for publication in leading economics journals such as: American Economic Review, International Economic Review, Economic Journal and Games and Economic Behaviour.

Contests and Conflicts

Our work in this area

In 2018, many leading economists in the study of conflict took part in The Micro and Macro Foundations of Conflict workshop that we hosted. It was funded by the British Academy Rising Star Engagement Award (BARSEA), rewarded to the workshop’s organiser Subhasish M. Chowdhury.

Our work in this area

The Governance of Institutions and Systems workshop focused on centralised vs decentralised forms of social organisation and public good provision was held in 2019 and organised by Peter Postl and Robertas Zubrickas.
