The price for the protein production also includes access to protein analysis equipment. At the end of every purification run protein purity is assessed by SDS-PAGE.

Assessing protein purity and quantification

We use pre-cast gels for optimal image quality, coupled with instant blue stain for quick results.

To measure protein concentration we have a Nanodrop 2000C available.

Analysis by HLPC is available on request.

We are also able to pass on samples for further quality assurance and size determination by accurate mass analysis, by using the instrumentation available in the Material and Chemical Characterisation Facility.
