Abby Osborne Assessment and Feedback Development Lead

Abby leads the development of approaches to assessment and feedback in line with the University's education strategic implementation plan.

Career

Abby has extensive experience of supporting students in a Mentoring and Study Skills capacity at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. She also has a background in lecturing in English Language as part of the Access to HE study programme. Most recently, Abby has worked in Student Services at the University facilitating the development of inclusive teaching and learning in a wide range of subject disciplines and contexts. Abby is particularly passionate about developing solution-focused, practical approaches to inclusive teaching and learning which are embedded, contextualised and sustainable. This wide remit has included working with lecturers in the Department of Computer Science to develop interventions to support group work, developing a toolkit with students and staff in the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering and working with the Department of Mathematical Sciences to develop inclusive Maths solutions classes.
