Role
Jane is an Outreach Officer in the Widening Participation Office. Through a programme of both on and off campus outreach events for primary and secondary schools she works with under-represented students to encourage and support them to consider higher education as an option.
Her work includes campus visits, taster days, off campus events and collaborative work with organisations such as Into University.
Jane works closely with:

- Mature students at Bath
- Other external organisations such as Into University and The National Citizenship Scheme
Career
Jane has worked in education for almost 20 years, initially at secondary school in several of her link schools. She has worked with students with Special Educational Needs, specialising in students with physical disabilities, dyslexia and hearing disabilities.
Before moving into HE at Bath she lived and worked in Germany where she taught English as a Foreign Language within a multinational military school. Jane has previously worked in Academic Staff Development at the University before moving into the Widening Participation Office.
