Sanctuary Working Group

The Sanctuary Working Group brings together representatives from across the University and SU to coordinate our support for people seeking sanctuary.

Purpose of the Sanctuary Working Group:

To maintain oversight of the University’s efforts to support Students and Staff At-Risk of forced migration or from conflict and provide guidance on the University’s approach. This includes but is not limited to the support offered by the University to applicants, students, staff and alumni from these communities, the provision of scholarships and bursaries to students, links and collaboration with local refugee organisations, and activities undertaken by staff, the SU, and student groups. The group will also ensure the recommendations made by the University of Sanctuary Award committee are considered and undertaken.
