Centre for Advanced Sensor Technologies (CAST) academic staff

We are a team of researchers who investigate a wide range of sensors and sensor related topics

The Centre for Advanced Sensor Technologies was founded in 2006 and has developed from its original quite modest research base to bring together wide-ranging expertise in microelectronics, biomedical electronics and novel materials. Advanced sensors have wide-ranging impact in everyday life and are used in applications such as medical diagnostics, pollution monitoring and the design of efficient modern lighting systems. In response to this diversity, the Centre has developed several subgroups that run in-house laboratories equipped with industry-standard instrumentation and design software. In addition, we also have full access to the David Bullett Nanofabrication Facility, which is dedicated to nanotechnology research.
