University of Bath

Centre for Strategic Risk and Insurance (CSRI)

The CSRI at the University of Bath is an international centre of excellence for research into risk management.

Through the CSRI, we identify and lever new knowledge developments in academic disciplines, such as economics, finance and insurance studies, to realise three main goals. These are:

  • to conduct rigorous but commercially relevant and public policy-based research in the management of risk
  • to broaden and deepen the appreciation and understanding of risk management issues amongst scholars and students, business practitioners and public policymakers
  • to secure external funding, including direct engagement from the private and public sectors, to support our research agenda
