Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences student engagement & success team
We lead and organise projects that aim to improve the experience of students in the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences.
We work closely with our academic departments and professional services teams, as well as the University's central services.
We're responsible for:

- developing a positive community for all students

- making sure the 'student voice' is heard and acted on via mechanisms such as student-staff liaison committees (SSLCs), focus groups, world café-style activity, and surveys
- empowering students to take positive action and enact change via schemes such as Student Change Projects and Vertically Integrated Projects (VIPs)
- overseeing activities that develop students' employability, with a particular focus on those not undertaking a professional placements
- developing Faculty-student communications
- supporting student Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) initiatives
