The Office of Strategic Governance
The Office of Strategic Governance supports the work of the University Council and its committees.
The Office of Strategic Governance (OSG) was established in 2019 to promote effectiveness in our institutional governance arrangements. It has two key purposes:
- To facilitate good governance of the University through supporting the Council and its committees on a day-to-day basis; and,
- To develop improved ways of working, and ensure that University governance remains effective into the future.
Ultimately, good governance builds a foundation for a high performing organisation and better enables the University to achieve its objectives. It ensures accountability and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. It strengthens stakeholder engagement, builds confidence in decision-making and allows for agile and well-informed responses to challenges and opportunities.
