But things have changed since 1970

Since ‘84, you can submit a SAR
Letting you see what data is held on you
See? Haven’t we come far?
Record retention was added in ‘98
Making sure your data gets deleted
And you can move on with a clean slate
New rules exist for how data's stored and for what duration
So, worry not, it’s being managed well
There's no agenda regarding your information
Data protection at Bath is good, just take a look
So, I hope your concerns have been —
Well, I guess there is Google and Facebook
But relax, they only collect your site interactions,
Phone number, age, interests,
Purchases and transactions,
As well as your location and address of course,
Your device and its properties,
The games you play and the politics you endorse
But things are better, data-wise, I can attest
Gone are the concerns of secret files on us
Oh, who am I kidding? Maybe I should protest!
