5,000 expected at University for Open Day

Around 5,000 prospective students and their parents are expected to attend the Undergraduate Open Day on Thursday 17 September.

Events will be taking place across the whole campus, including talks and guided tours within each academic department.

An extensive Information Fair will take place in the Sports Training Village where staff from each department, along with student and support services, will be on hand to talk to visitors and answer their questions.

Statistics show that an increasing number of potential students use Open Days as part of their decision making process when choosing a University.

Open Days allow students to gain an insight into life at University of Bath, get a feel for the area, and find out whether a course would be suited to them.

Visitors have been encouraged to use public transport where possible. First Bus and Wessex Connect will be providing extra services and the council and Park & Ride schemes have been informed. However, we anticipate that many will also arrive by car from approximately 9am, putting extra pressure on parking spaces.

Further details about the event are available at www.bath.ac.uk/opendays

Our Open Days are an essential part of University life, so your help in making visitors feel welcome is greatly appreciated.
